Hello Radeesh,

The above documents which you mentioned are sufficient to make a date of birth correction in your Sister’s Aadhaar. The next big thing is if you are comfortable you can visit any nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra with your Sister to get her date of birth updated. Or if it is not feasible for you, then you can just have a talk with the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra if it is possible to make arrangements for your sister’s DOB correction at home.

My sister is bedridden and there is a correction on her date of birth at her Adhar card. Since she is invalid, she studied up to 5th Grade only. Now we need to correct her date of birth at Adhar card and she is having the below-mentioned certificates :

School certificate for the proof of Date of Birth.
Adhar card copy
Govt. issued an invalid certificate

How can i proceed.. looking forward your kind advise.

The UIDAI does not have any policy for such a person. They were insisting on mobile number registration and update but while updating her name back in 2012 mobile number was not mandatory so we did not do the same. I tried 1947, twitter @ uidai, had many email and postal communication with the UIDAI regional centre in Ranchi, esp. their director Sunil Prasad and also sent medical certificate as per their demand but in the end the heartless bureaucracy did not budge an inch from its stand that the 81 year old bed ridden physically immobile person has to go to a nearest enrollment centre for change in details, which obviously she could not. So end of the story – please do not expect any special treatment. This Government is heartless.
